Eerie! Weather!!!

The weather has felt really eerie today! The clouds are rolling pretty good, the wind is kicking, and it just feel eerie to me! It would be nice out if not for the strong winds, but who knows what it's blowing in! I don't have any umph today, sat around most of the day thinking I need to go stamp or color or something but can't seem to make myself. 
Went to Grandson's birthday party yesterday, can't believe he is 13. I remember babysitting him when he was just a few weeks old. 
Hubby has been having bad cluster headaches the last couple of weeks and nothing is helping them. 
Right now watching truck driver's on deadliest roads. I think they are crazy :O) 
I've got one more grandbaby with a birthday before Christmas. When there are 13, Christmas is coming way to fast! I don't mean to be a Scrooge, but it's hard not to in our wonderful economy!!! I haven't bought one present yet, and that's not good! I think the wind today just blew all the money off my money tree out front....tee hee hee!

I guess our Winter is here! Snowing and Sleeting in our State

Well it's a chilly day. I haven't been outside but there are Reports of snow and sleet...yuck! I don't like winter at all. The only time I like snow is Christmas Eve & Christmas Day! The older I get, the harder it is to take the cold weather. Ole Arthur is getting worse everyday. If I didn't have arthritis, the snow and cold wouldn't bother me :O) It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Thinking back to when my son was young in 4-H & lesson learned!

I was just thinking back today when my son was in 4-H. My Dad bought Jeremy a steer to show in the fair. The rules were to have your steer where the person showing could handle that steer, they were grain fed, and a lot of other things too! Well Jeremy did everything he was supposed to do. That steer we called T-bone, and Jeremy could ride that steer, he was real gentle, looked awesome, and my son was so proud. There were kids in that fair that their parents taught them to cheat, fill them with water for weight, couldn't handle their steers, had to have their parents come out there and get a handle on their steers. The thing that bothered me the most was in 4-H the only ones they cared about were the Big Names, The Money, and it broke my heart. My son did get his blue ribbon and also Farm Bureau Co-op bought his steer. My son was hurt, never showed a steer again because he said "Mom" it's not what you did right, it was who you were! I wouldn't trade my son for all the sons in the world and especially the ones in 4-H. I think back all 4-H taught the kids was if you were popular, then you counted. My son is a good person today, because he did what he was supposed to do the right way! My kids also had goats to show in the fair, but didn't go through with it because of the same thing.

Is our world ever going to be for who you are as a person, or who you are as people with money! I'm thankful that God loves us, rich or poor. It's the heart of the person, the value of the person, their morals, and right from wrong. My son learned a valuable lesson, and I'm so proud that he was smart enough to see that at such a young age. I am blessed!!!

My hubby loves this one :O)

 This card looks so much better in person, could not get the best picture of it!

It had hunter green background & white crackle paint with diamond stickles but in the picture all you can really see is the white crackle.

Help for Katie! Pray for Katie!!! It only takes a little bit of time....

My heart has been so heavy thinking about Katie, Kevin & their 3 little boys! I think if it were me, I would want everyone, everywhere praying for me! It only takes a few minutes of time. Our God is great! I can hardly think of anything else day or night, they are on my mind, in my heart and in my prayers!
If you could just take a few moments to say a prayer for them, it can make a whole lot of difference for her and her family, to get through this time in their lives!
