I am truly thankful today! I now have 350 followers and I never dreamed of having this many, so happy :O)
I just wanted to say to my wonderful followers (THANK YOU) and I appreciate each and every one of you! I have met so many wonderful folks out here in blog land. When I started my blog, I had no idea how to even go about it. Along the way I have had so many precious folks who have helped me when I needed it, and I appreciate it so much! I don't care if you've followed me 1 day or months or years or going to follow me, I appreciate each of you!
In just 2 weeks Christmas will be here, and I can hardly believe how fast it comes each year. The true meaning of Christmas is not the presents that we receive but giving and receiving what the Lord has for us each and every day. I'm so thankful that I have him to call on and talk to no matter where I am or who I'm with. He has kept his hand on me and my family and friends each and every day. Just knowing he is there to help us, make us stronger, and for just loving us with all our little flaws and faults, and big things that we can't fix ourselves, he can help us through. Just to feel his love and joy is so much to be Thankful for. It is the time of year that it seems families and friend get together and enjoy each other, but most importantly it is the Lord in our life, just what he means that is the wonderful Gift of Christmas.
Sometimes we have to check ourselves and remember what Christmas is all about, because as humans we do tend to forget the true meaning of Christmas.
I hope each and every one of you and your families have a wonderful Christmas! But most of all, I wish you peace, joy, love and happiness, and remember Charity. Charity is not giving money, although it is charity, but my Dad always says that to put on Charity, its getting your Love to One Another. He said, I can say I have something for you such as money, or love, or just a kind word, but unless we actually get that to the person, and do it, it means nothing.
I know I hear people say, Look what I did, I gave this or that to so and so....I was taught that when you give, you give to the person, and that's it, you don't say look what I did. It's doing without telling someone look what I did. God knows and that's what matters.
I remember a story my grandmother told me: There was an old woman, and she need wood for a fire to keep warm. She was praying one night to the Lord to please help her and that she need wood to warm her. Some boys overheard her praying and said...Let's go chop wood and put it by her house and she will think God did it, joking and laughing at the old woman. Well the joke was on the boys because God used those boys that thought they were playing a joke on the woman, to cut her wood, stack it and he answered that little old woman's prayer because she had what she needed.
Sometimes God answers our prayers in mysterious ways! I'm so glad for the loving God that we serve!
The next couple of weeks is going to be a super busy time for all of us, time for families and friends to share the Holiday season. As much as I love making cards and crafting, it's time to spend with families and friends and enjoy one another while we can. We never know what the future brings, so I want to live each day the best that I can and know that none of us are promised tomorrow here on this earth!
Hugs! Leah Ann

ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely post! Christmas is such a hectic and stressful time trying to get everything so perfect, that we do tend to forget what it is really all about and to treasure our time and our family as well! This will be my first Christmas without my Mom and it will be a hard one, but your words made me remember to enjoy my husband, my children and my cherished grandchildren too! I am so lucky and blessed to have them all! Thanks!
