Tutorial for 5" Easel Card, my first tutorial so please be kind :O)

 Tutorial for 5" Easel Card.

 I first cut a piece of (Tag board or Stampin Up Cardstock) 5" x 10". I find these are the best to use because they are heavier and work real well for Easel Cards.

I score it at 5" and 7 1/2".  This is piece one.

O.k. Miss Sandy, this tutorial is for you ... so let me know if I've confused you more or helped :O)

 Fold the 10" x 5" (piece one) cardstock in half at 5" scoreline.
At this point it just looks like a regular card fold.

 Then fold back at 7 1/2" score line  Piece one.
(Look at the very 1st photo and you will see the scorelines)

 Then I cut a piece of tag board or cardstock 5" x 5" which I'll call piece 2.

 Here you see how the side will look after cutting the 2 pieces. I haven't glued it yet, so the 5" x 5" piece will actually be glued between the 5" score line and the 7 1/2" score line.

(The 10 x 5" piece is folded in half at 5" score line, then folded back at the 7" score line and the piece that you fold back is the piece you glue and adhere the top of the 5" piece on.)
Oh Drat's I'm probably just confusing you :O)

I have my arrows at top and side, but I glue all 4 sides and some in the middle.
 5" x 5" cardstock (piece two)...that I decorated onto the part that is folded back (piece one) and it's easier to glue this and then place the 5" (piece 2) piece on, otherwise you don't know exactly where to glue it. I used Tombo Multi Adhesive Glue because it is my favorite adhesive, and I find the best. Remember this is folded back.

 The bottom which I call the base. I usually cut a piece of cardstock 4 3/4 x 4 3/4" for my first layer and it will cover the white on the bottom except for the edges. Then I cut the black piece 2 1/4 x 4 1/2". Then the next piece 2" x 4 1/4". You can go more than 2 1/4 but I never go more than 3" because then the card doesn't want to sit correctly.

 Here is the 5" x 5" piece of cardstock that I have started decorating but haven't finished just to show you.

Yeah they got our air conditioner fixed this a.m.

They fixed our air conditioner this morning. It's just now cooling off in here! It is 102.2 outside right now. I was thinking in the wee hours of the morning how spoiled we are :O) Of course, if you don't have it, your able to take the heat better, but when you are like me and have it...then when you don't it's a bear!!! I didn't sleep one wink last night :( Hopefully tonight I'll sleep like a baby....I can only hope!

Ohhh Man What a Night!!!!

Jeez, sitting here burning up! The air conditioner decides to go on the blink in this horrible heat! I'm sure it's going to be a flippin lonnnnnnnnnnnnng night!!!! :(
My day first started off, hubby was put on insulin and his sugar went too low, and he got real dizzy, shaking and a headache. Took 2 calls leaving messages at the doctor's office and then a call from me kind of getting a little snotty to get them to call us back! Finally got to talk to the nurse!
First of all, it has been 3 months since hubby's had blood work, and today the nurse didn't even check his sugar, went by the blood work in March and put him on insulin....I'm thinking this doesn't seem right to me!  Am I just being stupid here ???? Common sense tells me they should have at least checked his sugar today???
You would think the first time they put a patient on insulin and he has a problem they would call you right back instead of having to wait 2 stinkin hours to get to talk to someone!!!! Not a happy camper....
Now it's 2:17 a.m. in the 90's outside and the air conditioner decides not to work. I think it's froze up, so I'm waiting another few minutes and going to turn it back on and hope to shout it works till morning so we can get someone here to work on it.....
So tired of this horrible heat and no rain!!!!
Sorry folks I had to vent. Hubby is asleep, and I'm sitting here in the dark ready to scream!!!!!! Breathe Leah Ann, Breathe!!!!

Cleaning house again :( Not my favorite thing to doooooo!

I've put it off long enough...had to get busy on the house :) Had the grandbabies and painting and helping my daughter, in the meanwhile letting things go here...! I did get a couple of cards in between all :O) It's another hot, dry day...ugghh no relief not even last night. At midnight it was 87.4 degrees, oh man oh man!!!
Hubby is at his HBO apt. and when he gets home, I'm hoping to go shopping :O) I will have most of my housework done, and got an itching to go shop!!! I'm bad, I know!!!
No fireworks this 4th of July due to our wonderful drought!!!!! It has rained all around us, but not a drop here. Even where it has rained, not enough to ease the dry, dry grass, trees and ground. They say we would need another 4 to 6 inches within the next couple of weeks to end it, and doesn't look like it's going to happen. They say we are looking at weather like this till September, jeez don't know if I can take that, it's already getting to this ole gal!
